I’ve been riding all my life, starting on a Honda 70 and eventually ending up on a BMW in 2002. I’ve ridden over 300,000 miles and for the past 10 years my partner Joanne has been on the pillion seat for most of my miles.
We enjoy riding with others and really like to Travel on our bike. Long weekends in the Blue Ridge Mountains or SE Ohio, are our favorite! We don’t sit still much!
We've been riding with the Laurel Highlands BMW riders for two years, but are not new to riding motorcycles. Jan prompted us to change from a cruiser to adventure touring and we traded for a 1200GS.
We have been warmly welcomed into this group and have already made great friends. Our head honcho, Jason, is a master at creating amazing tours that highlight the beautiful region and beyond, including creative stops at interesting sites and terrific eating establishments.
As a retired Air Traffic Controller with the Federal Aviation Authority, I have time for rides any day of the week. I ride a 2009 BMW R1200R, a 2004 Honda ST1300, and a 2006 Yamaha XT225. I particularly enjoy the weekend and holiday trips with the BMW Riders Club of the Laurel Highlands.
